Kuzhikkattussery: It has been one year since the consecration of St. Mariam Thresia, the founder of the Holy Family nun community and the mediator of families. On October 13, 2019, Cardinal Henry Newman, Blessed Sister Giuseppe Vannini, Blessed Sister Dolce Lopez Pontes of Brazil, and Margaret Bays, a nun of Switzerland and a Franciscan Third Congregation, were canonized by Pope Francis.
Today marks the first anniversary of the canonization and the raising of the Kuzhikkattussery Convent as the official pilgrimage center of the Diocese of Iringalakuda. Mar Pauly Kannukkadan will preside over the function at the Kuzhikkattussery Convent where St. Mariam Thresia and Blessed Joseph Vithayathil Achan are laid to rest.
