A heart-warming gesture ‘Dream Big’ was held on 6th July, 2019. The Dream Big Association, under the Department of Catechesis, organised an event in order to felicitate all the students who secured more than 90% in 10th grade and more than 80% in 12th grade. This commendable programme was conducted at Christ the King Church, Bhandup. His Excellency Bishop Mar Thomas Elavanal graced the event.

The event began by inviting the Lord Almighty to be with us, commenced with a beautiful prayer led by Father Biju Mannamcheril. The Chief guest was Mrs. Sunita George, the Principal of Bombay Scottish school, Mahim. She shared her insightful words with the young minds present there. As a mother of a teenager and knowing the shortcomings of today’s generation, her talk was absolutely relatable for the parents as well as for the children.

The insights were shared by four students, who were a part of the Dream Big meeting of 2016. Their stories on how this event helped them to make the right decisions regarding their careers. The impact of the session was great, as those students advised the children on how to deal with the daily disturbances and focus thoroughly on their goal. Each of them had a different point of view regarding how to study, what to prioritize and how to lead a spiritual life. Thus, this session helped the students to have a clearer idea about several concepts.

An activity for the parents and children attending wherein to jot down their life goals, irrespective of whether they have been achieved, in the process of completion or yet to be started. The host, rightfully named this activity as ‘Life Bingo’. Father Danny proposed the vote of thanks through which he expressed his sincere gratitude to everybody who helped in making the event successful.

“This is not the end. This is only the beginning” said Dr. Johnson who is a very active member of the Dream Big Team. Saying this, he encouraged all the students to continue to work hard and accomplish great things in life.
