Detroit: A leading evangelical evangelist preaching his testimony to the active presence of Jesus in the Holy Cross, openly rejecting the Protestant interpretation that the Holy Spirit is only a symbolic performance. Globally renowned Protestant evangelist and megachurch pastor Francis Chan has come to the forefront of Catholic teaching on the Eucharist. He confessed that he was unaware of the fact that 1500 years ago, everyone had seen the Holy Eucharist literally with the body and blood of Jesus.
He pointed out that it was only 500 years ago that the Holy Qur’an was used as a mere symbol. Chan, who denounced the importance of the churches for the Holy Communion, said it was formerly important to the Eucharist and that someone had put up an altar in the meantime. We live in a time when there are literally about thirty thousand church groups. He gave the impression that the unity of the churches is possible only if the Eucharist is emphasized.
Although his speculation that Francis Chan was going to embrace the Catholic faith was strong, his words suggest that the Catholic faith was more profound than expected. Francis Chan is leading a group called “We Are Church” in San Francisco. His speech has now gone viral on social media. Meanwhile, the former British Queen’s chaplain and Anglican bishop, Dr. Dreamer, has revealed that she had accepted the Catholic faith through a study similar to Chan’s. Gavin Ashenden is on the scene.
