Velankanni: conference of clergy of Latin diocese was held in Velankanni on the theme ‘Pleasure
of the priesthood’. The Archbishop of Bombay, Cardinal Oswald Gracias, was instrumental in the sacrifice. Seventy clergy from 91 dioceses of the 132 diocese Latin church attended the conference. The CDPI, a diocesan organization headed by the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI), was founded in 2001.
The CCBI, which was approved by the CCI in 2008, is working to strengthen the relationship of the clergy, thereby strengthening the ministry of the ministry and fulfilling God’s plans in local and global churches. The clergy who participated in the conference had the pleasure of the priesthood – in their own lives and in their social life; they shared their experiences in four-panel discussions, including the role of diocesan clergy in community building and the role of diocesan clergy in modern evangelistic work.
