The fourth of the Ten Commandments notifies “Honor thy father and mother.” Reflecting on this bible verse, St. Joseph Church, Airoli Kalyan Diocese, celebrated Parents and Grand-parents day to remind the faithful about the significance of parenthood and also to highlight the importance of loving parents by respecting and spending time with them.
Fr.Martin Kombara, the vicar remarked that “Parents are the first chapter in a child’s life and so the parents should set a good and significant example for their children by inspiring them to live in the will of God.” Further, he added, “Children, especially the youth, should obey their parents and should spend their quality time with them even in a busy schedule to let them know that you care for them.”
After the Mass, some of the catechism students dedicated a beautiful song, meanwhile the other children gifted cards to their parents and grandparents.
