Thiruvananthapuram: The President of Kerala Catholic Bishops Conference, Major Archbishop Soosa Pakiam is currently in the intensive Care Unit of Kings Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram. Concluding the Ad Limina Meet of the Latin Bishops of the Kerala Catholic Church at the Vatican, he arrived at the Trivandrum Airport and was immediately rushed to Jubilee Hospital. While on his journey back from Rome, the archbishop had began to feel unrest and fever.
While undergoing treatment, the infection proliferated and started causing difficulty in breathing. One the eve on 2nd October, as per the instructions of doctors , he was shifted to Kings Hospital, Trivandrum.
Earlier, he had undergone a Bypass Surgery and as per medical notice, an infection at this point is not very advisable. Therefore, he is under observation in the Intensive Care Unit with utmost medical attention and facilities. Auxiliary Bishop Christudas, the assistant Bishop of the Latin Archdiocese of Trivandrum has requested the prayers of all the faithful, for the well-being of Archbishop Soosa Pakiam.
