This was followed by the offering of the Holy Eucharist by Mar Jose Pulikkal. Mar Thoma Shliha Dayara of Nallathanni was the first autonomous Dayara for the men of the Syro Malabar Church. The proclamation of the autonomy of Dayara, which inspired the monastic lifestyle of the Marthoma Christians, is a historic event in the Syro-Malabar Church.
