Kochi: The meditations of the bishops began on the eve of the first session of the Syro-Malabar Church. Funeral services will be held at Mount St. Thomas, Kakkanad, the headquarters of the church. Led by Ival Mendoza. The Synod will be held from 10 to 15 p.m. Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, Cardinal Mar George Alencherry will inaugurate the event. Of the 64 bishops of the Syro-Malabar Church, 58 will attend the Synod. The rest did not attend the Synod because of ill health.
