Kochi: Major Archbishop Cardinal Mar George Alenchery inaugurated the missionary mission of the Syro-Malabar Church. He said that the missionary mission should lead to the realization that the fundamental duty of every Christian is to know, to inform, and to witness the message of Christ. He lauded the efforts of various groups of people to visit the mission areas and engage in missions.
About 18 bishops, clergy, saints, and laymen attended the ceremony. The Syro-Malabar Church Mission Week is celebrated every year from January 6 to 12 to celebrate the missionary activities of the Syro-Malabar Church and to open up opportunities for the believers to become more cooperative. The event was held under the patronage of Mar Rafael Tattil, Director of SYMM and Shamshabad Diocese at Mount St. Thomas, Kakkanad. Siju spoke to Azhakam. Fr.
