Bishop Emeritus Most Rev. Antony Devotta of Trichy has been granted eternal rest today, 15th October 2019 in Trichy. The death was confirmed to have happened following a Cardiac Arrest at 2:20 am.
The bishop emeritus had previously decided to donate his eyes and body to a medical college in Bangalore. After the funeral Holy Qurbana, the body will be taken by officials from St. John’s National Academy for Health Sciences, Bangalore for medical practices. The funeral mass is scheduled to take place tomorrow, 16th October, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Cathedral Church, Trichy.
