Retired Archbishop Oscar Cruz of Lingayen-Dagupan in the Philippines, who is also a strong crusader against gambling in the country voiced his disappointments regarding the increasing gambling in the country which are left unnoticed, by the police authorities and highlighted the government’s irresponsibility regarding this issue.
As reported by ucanews.com, His Excellency Oscar Cruz reminded that “Filipinos are still waiting for Duterte (the President of Philippines) to fulfill his promise to control gambling in the country and I hope I’m wrong but it is impossible for illegal gambling to flourish without the knowledge of government officials.”
His Grace Archbishop Cruz also remarked that “I hope that the government will carry out its promise to end illegal gambling.”
