Catholic Bishops in Pakistan are demanding the government to take quick action against the recent bomb blast by the terrorist group which killed at least 26 people in Lahore. Nine police officials and 3 Christians were included among those who were killed while 56 were injured in the blast. Taliban terror group claims the responsibility for the attack which happened on July 24, 2017, by aiming to destroy the government of the country.
As reported by ucanews.com, the statement signed by His Excellency Bishop Joseph Arshad of Faisalabad, stated that “The National Commission for Justice and Peace calls upon the government to bring the perpetrators to justice and address extremist elements and root cause of this intolerance; to tighten its measures for protection of all citizens and officials.”
“We are living in the era of cruelty; there is a fire everywhere and the number of widows and orphans are increasing” grieved Sebastian Shah, archbishop of Lahore, as reported by ucanews.com.
