Mananthavady: A fake campaign has been doing the rounds wherein a monk is seen carrying a poster which originally read ‘Do not open a liquor store, do not destroy your family’ against the government policy of opening liquor shops. The original words on the poster were edited and negative propaganda has been circulated. The monk is one of the nuns of the diocese of Mananthavady. The Mananthavady Bishop, Mas Jose P says that Sr. Lucina SH is a victim of fake propaganda. More than ninety thousand people have shared the picture, from the profile of CapNoble Pereira alone. It is spreading in many other profiles. The ecclesiastical leadership is preparing for legal action on the issue.
