Chennai: Capuchin’s monk has been elevated to the position of God’s servant in the Tamil community of Tamil Nadu. On December 3, Fr. John Peter was ordained a priest of Savarinagam. The thirty-eight-year-old Fr. That led to John Peter being promoted to the position of God. Around 5,000 pilgrims from different parts of the state arrived at Amalashram at Tiruchirappalli to attend the ceremony of being elevated to the service of God.

Peter John was born in 1941 in Thanjavur, Thiruvananthapuram. In 1969, Tirupattam was adopted. In 1974, he left for Rome to pursue further studies in theology. He was influenced by the spirituality of Mother Thresia of Avila and St. John of the Cross. Upon his return to India, he served as the Director of the Minor Seminary and as a spiritual advisor to the Sisters of St. Ann and Holy Cross Societies of Tiruchirappalli. His holy life, his willingness to help the poor, his spending nights in front of the Eucharist were all influenced by many. On May 2, 1979, he was diagnosed with stomach cancer and was called to death forever.

He was a symbol of a zealous young man. A. Said Thainis Healthy. In the midst of suffering, Fr. Believers remember John Peter. His tomb, located in the Capuchin Missionary Convent, Amalashram, is visited by a large number of pilgrims every year with intercessory prayer.
