Faithful in Nigeria mourns the death of Clergymen

Nigeria, Africa: In yet another incident, a Catholic Priest from Nigeria was found killed by unidentified thugs. Priest, Late Rev. Fr. Davis Thango was serving his priestly orders in the Jalingo Diocese in Africa. According to reports, unidentified men killed the priest and tried to burn the dead body along with the car he was traveling. 

In the recent past, demised Fr. Thango was in efforts to resolve matters between the Tiv and Jukun tribes, and restore peace in the region. The incident took place during the journey he embarked towards the peace meet.  

Charles Hammava, the Bishop of Jalingo Diocese is of the opinion that the Islamic terrorist groups have no connection with the murder. He urged the catholic faithful of the diocese, to not initiate an upsurge and to stay in faith and prayer. In a similar incident, another catholic priest Late Rev. Fr. Clement Essiagu from the Diocese of Enugu  was killed by unidentified men.
