The Catholic Churches in Myanmar helps the citizens, who are still facing the aftermaths of continuous flooding in the country, by collaborating with higher officials in formulating emergency responses. The volunteers of Catholic churches in the country are preparing themselves to assist communities affected by flooding that has hit nine regions in Myanmar.

As reported by ucanews.com, Fr. Henry Eikhlein, director of Karuna Pathein, (a social working community in Myanmar), asserted that “We are meeting with the local authorities this week to organize an emergency response and we will collaborate with them to respond to what is happening.”

As per the report from the government’s relief and resettlement department, the flood has killed at least two people and displaced more than 130,000 people.
