Fr. John Puthuva, vicar priest of St. George Church, Thalayolaparambu, has decided to revolt against the government orders of increasing petrol/diesel prices in the country, peacefully. Recently, the priest brought a bicycle for himself and has asked the people to voice against the petrol price hike in a harmonious manner without creating violence and harm in the society.
As reported by lifedayonline.com, Fr John remarked that “A common man won’t be able to adjust his budget according to the increasing petrol/diesel prices. It seems that the prices will hit century almost very soon. So adapting bicycle journey before that situation would definitely be helpful for everyone.” Further, he added, “The cycle journey will also help people to go eco-friendly and this will reduce many diseases and disorders that occurs due to pollution.” The priest has already formed a bicycle team at Thalayolaparambu.
