Catholic Bishops’ Commission for Youth of Bangladesh conducted an orientation program for the Youth coordinators and ministers from eight dioceses of the country, in the Bishops’ Conference Center in Dhaka, for the 2018 Synod on Young People at the Vatican. The main aim of the program was to encourage the Youth to work for the Lord Almighty and also to ensure their significant role in building up the Church in Christ.
As reported by ucanews.com, Holy Cross Brother Uzzal Placid Pereira, the secretary of Bangladeshi Catholic Bishops’ Commission, highlighted that “We organize programs for young people at the parish, diocese and national level, because young people are a priority for the Church.” Further, he added, “We hope this Synod will have a big impact on young people as they would realize how much more the church cares for them.”
The Vatican has offered some guidelines and questionnaire on faith, vocation and pastoral works which would guide the dioceses to focus and discuss the problems that today’s youth faces.
