In the case of Fr.Martin Xavier, the 33year old Keralite priest who was found dead on a beach in Scotland on June 23, 2017, Catholic Bishop’s Conference of India (CBCI) seeks help from Government of India in order to probe the unsolved mystery behind the death. CBCI has requested the federal government to facilitate an in-depth search in this regard.
As reported by ucanindia.in, Father Chinnayyan, Deputy Secretary General of CBCI, lamented that “The Bishops are deeply saddened by the tragic death of the priest, a member of the Carmelite of Mary Immaculate order who was currently serving in the Diocese of St.Andrews and Edinburg in Scotland.”
CBCI has asked the External Affairs of India to have a check on this case to untie the hidden enigma behind the death.
