Changanassery Arch Eparchy donates 50 Lakhs to help the victims of Ockhi cyclone. His Excellency Mar Joseph Perumthottam, Archbishop of Changanassery Archdiocese had urged the faithful from all the parishes under the Archdiocese to contribute as per their financial capacity to help the victims of Ockhi cyclone. This has finally led the Arch-Eparchy to gather this wholesome amount for a noble cause, by setting an example of compassion before the humankind.

The Arch-Eparchy of Changanassery donated 40 Lakhs through KCBC and 10 Lakhs was given to Thuckalay Diocese, Tamil Nadu. Ockhi was a strong tropical cyclone that devastated parts of SriLanka and India and was the most intense tropical cyclone in the Arabian Sea since Cyclone Megh in 2015.  It caused severe damages to structures and property and also claiming the lives of at least 218 people in the Southern parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala in India.
