His Eminence Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, the Major Archbishop of Syro-Malabar Church, conveyed the duties and responsibilities of a Christian, in his Easter message. In his circular, Mar Alencherry reminded the faithful about their significant role in protecting the environment that is been gifted to the humankind by the Lord Almighty. Mar Alencherry highlighted that the resurrection of Jesus Christ should be considered as the resurrection of nature and the whole universe and thus nature should be respected with more concern.
As reported by smcim, Mar George Alencherry remarked that “Christians should believe in the power of the risen Lord Jesus Christ and should be able to spread the power of kindness to others. Along with his resurrection, Jesus Christ made the universe and the humankind resurrect in his love. The one who believes in the resurrection of Jesus Christ should be able to help others.” Further, His Eminence added, “The resurrected Lord Jesus Christ has given us the responsibility to take care of the world and its development.”
