Belgium: The Christian activist group ADF International has started a global promotion activity in order to create awareness about the apprehensions and ecological disbalance caused in the case of Euthanasia. The prominent centers of this promotional activity titled ‘Affirm dignity – and Euthanasia’, are Belgium and Netherland. These are the two countries where the ratio of mercy killing is increasing rapidly.
The promotional tactics include the generation of awareness regarding possibilities of the positive outcomes of banning Euthanasia by the use of personal testimonials, current legal battles, and expert research results. The Euthanasia bill was last amended in 2014. The Executive Director of ADF International, Paul Coleman cited that the government of Belgium disregards the value of life especially those of sick and old personals. He also shows that as per reports 6 people on an average are killed on the pretext of Euthanasia each day in Belgium.
In order to stir a change, the group has put up public hoardings at various places in the country. These boardings portray that the euthanasia bill isn’t a role model and also the facts about the demerits of Euthanasia. As stated by the European Advocacy Director of ADF International, Robert Clarke, the Belgian government emphasizes that the old and the sick are a burden; without putting it in exact words.
He further continued to say that through the promotional activity, ADF intense to negate the governments’ policies and restore human rights and value for life in the country. From far and wide, the group has received positive responses for the campaign.
