His Excellency Archbishop Charles Joseph Chaput of Philadelphia, while addressing the faithful, at the Napa Institute conference in Napa, Calif, conveyed the significance of joy and love in an individual’s life and highlighted the value of joy as the birthright of a Christian by their rebirth in Jesus Christ through baptism. The institute of Napa aims to help Catholic leaders face the challenges of contemporary America.
As reported by Catholic News Agency, His Grace Archbishop Chaput remarked that “If we cling to the joy that Lord has given, if we cling to God, then all things are possible and the only way to create new life in a culture is to live our lives joyfully and fruitfully, as individuals ruled by convictions greater than ourselves and shared with people we know and love.” Further His Grace added, “When young people ask me how to change the world, I tell them to love each other, get married and stay faithful to one another.”
His Excellency advised the faithful to remain faithful to each other and reminded that Faith is a seed that does not grow overnight because it takes time and love and effort.
