His Grace Mar Jose Puthenveettil, Auxiliary Bishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly Archdiocese urged the gathering at Infant Jesus Church, Kidangoor, to be kind enough to protect the nature. Mar Puthenveettil was addressing the faithful during the anniversary celebration of family units of Infant Jesus Church. He also explained the necessity to save water for the present and future generations.
As reported by Deepika.com, Mar Puthenveettil remarked that “We should protect the water resources without polluting it. We should not throw wastages in water resources. Since we have already polluted the water to an extent, we are now forced to rely on packed bottles to quench our thirst nowadays. The same way, if we pollute the air, probably we will have to carry pure air cylinders tomorrow for our needs.”
Fr. Paul Manayimbilly, vicar priest of the church, presided over the function. Kendra Committee Vice-chairman C K Jose gave the welcome speech and Secretary Naimon Peter presented the report.
