Cardinal Antonio Canisarius Ellovera has issued a warning following the taking over of the Spanish-led coalition led by Spanish Socialist Workers Party leader Petro Sanchez. He shared his concerns about communism in the country. He is also the co-chair of the Spanish bishop’s committee. He said that the state of affairs was worse than previously thought, and that the communism that had perished within the Berlin Wall had been reborn in Spain. In a letter posted on the diocese’s website on January 11, Cardinal Antonio Canisarius warned with great pain that Spain was trying to make Spain a non-Spanish nation.
The cardinal warned that the country was moving away from democracy to a single thought. In his letter, he points out that Spain is trying to repeat the mistakes of Latin American countries. The Cardinal’s letter ends with the believers praying constantly for the Kingdom. Petro Sanchez came to power by omitting the Bible and the crucifixion traditionally used in the swearing-in ceremony. Sanchez has announced plans to legalize euthanasia, exclude religious education from schools, and confiscate the property of the Catholic Church.
