Vatican City: KCBC has corrected the malayalam translation of the Prayers of the Litany, which was incorporated by Pope Francis on Saturday, June 20. In the litany, the pope invokes three petitions: Maternal Misericordiae (Karunyathinte Mathave), Mater Spei (Prathyashayude Mathave), and Solacium Migrantium (Kudiyettakarude Aashwasame). The translation was done by the Malayalam section of Vatican News. The Vatican News Malayalam Department now reports that it has received instructions from the POC, the office of the Kerala Bishops’ Council, to make the third of these as ‘Abhayarthikalude Aashwasame’.
