Vatican City: Cardinal Peter Turkson, head of the Vatican’s Division for Comprehensive Human Development, says the Vatican COVID 19 Committee will work in cooperation with the Panchayat Task Force to address the challenges of the pestilence that plagues the world. He added that he sees the crisis that has caused the pestilence not as an opportunity to lose hope for the future but as an opportunity for hope.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday (16/05/20), the Press Office of the Holy Throne confirmed the Church’s work on tackling the food and organic crisis caused by the pestilence. The Vatican has so far reported 12 COVID cases. Only two of them survived.
