Liverpool: Bishop Vincent Malone, a former auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Liverpool in Britain, has died following a 19-month illness. He was 88 years old. He has been receiving treatment at the Royal Liverpool Hospital since last week after being confirmed by COVID, and has been called for heavenly abode this morning. Born on September 11, 1931, in Liverpool, he was ordained a clergy on 18 September 1955.

In 1971 he was appointed Chaplain of the University of Liverpool. On May 13, 1989, he was appointed Archbishop of the Archdiocese. He retired in 2006 at the age of 75. The Archbishop of Liverpool lamented the death of the bishop.
