Thiruvalla: The Crime Branch is investigating the death of ascetic student Divya P John which happened in the Basilican Convent of Thiruvalla. The Crime Branch has been advised by the DGP to look into the possibility of accidental death. Divya P John, a native of Chunkapara, was found dead at the well of the convent on the 7th of May. Divya P John was a student of the Convent of Basilic convent. The student was found in the well when the inmates of the convent were searching at eleven o’clock in the morning.
The mother superior then informed the police and the fire force. Divya was taken out of the well. Though she was rushed to the Thiruvalla Pushpagiri Medical College Hospital, Divya passed away. The preliminary conclusion is that the foot may have fallen off while trying to get water from the well. Police are also investigating whether anyone was involved in an accident. However, the inmates gave a statement to the police that there were no problems with Divya in the convent. Divya’s family, meanwhile, said the incident was “very painful” and that they were satisfied with the investigation.
