“No room in the inn.” For a pregnant young woman and her husband, this was just one of the problems Mary and Joseph faced in their life.
They were law abiding and though Mary was nearly full term, they undertook a hazardous journey with no place to stay and no help whatsoever, gave birth in a manger. We have to learn to accept difficulties and hardships as Mary did. For a young mother, she must have encountered so many problems yet she neither did boast about the angels heralding the birth nor the wise men visiting her child. She has a calm and accepting nature.
Mary and Joseph were regular human beings like us without any supernatural gifts. And so, it was fulfilled what was promised through the Prophets.
“But you, Bethelehm in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah. For out of you will be the shepherd of my people, Israel.”
God fulfilled His promises to send to us a Savior. Inspite of the hardships we face, let us seek the Will of God. It gives us the strength and courage because, there is nothing that can stop God from loving us.
