Norwich: The third annual Bible Convention of the Syro Malabar Church in Great Britain commenced at the St. John Cathedral Church. The prayer called in for the convention was renowned Bible preacher, Rev. Fr. George Panackal VC. The convention was inaugurated by Mar Joseph Srambikal. The inaugural Holy Qurbana was celebrated by Mar Srambikal who serves in the Cambridge region. The Holy Mass was co celebrated by Rev. Fr. Thomas Parekandathil, Rev. Fr. Philip Panthamakkal. The former have the welcome note while the latter proposed the vote of thanks. Special sessions for the children were undertaken.
The convention is scheduled to happen in eight regions until 30th October 2019. The one day retreat will happen in London, tomorrow. In all scheduled routines, Mar Srambikal would offer the Holy Qurbana and the homily. As per sources, Rev. Fr. George Panackal VC is bound to have conducted soul-stirring conventions and has become an integral part of turning sinners towards repentance through his service. He is also one of the founders of the Kerala Charismatic Renewal Services. He will be accompanied by Rev. Fr. Antony Parankimalil VC, Rev. Fr. Joseph Edattu VC, Syro Malabar priests of various regions, volunteers and the laity.
The routine would begin with rosary and hymns at 9:00 am and is scheduled to end at 4:00 pm in the evening. On the days of the convention, special arrangements would be made for confessional services.
