The Pithruvedi’s Diocesan Tug of War Competition was held on 13th October 2019 at Christ Academy School, Koparkhairane. The Annual competitions were held every year for all the youth and Pithruvedi members. With much fervor and preparations, Tug of War teams participated from across the diocese.
After tight and neck to neck competition, St. Alphonsa Forane Church, Kalewadi from Pune Forane emerged as winners of the game. Following then were, Mary Matha Church, Saki Naka, St. George Forane Church, Panvel and Sacred Heart Church, Bhayandar respectively.
The event was organized by the Kalyan Pithruvedi, headed by Rev. Fr. Shibu Pulickal. Youth and fathers from across the diocese participated after months of practice. The guests of honor included Vice-Chancellor Rev. Fr. Justin Kallely, Rev. Fr. Paul Kunduparambil and other executives of the Kalyan Pithruvedi. His excellency Bishop Mar Thomas Elevanal couldn’t attend the meet as he is in Rome to attend the Canonization ceremony of Saint Mariam Thresia.
