Kalyan Media Cell’s Diocom Campaign is garnering support from across the diocese. With volunteers visiting each parish of the diocese, the Eparchians are closely associated with the Catholic Focus website.
In this age of untrustworthy news reports, the Diocese of Kalyan guarantees to provide sensible and accurate catholic news with reference to the happenings around the diocese, the state, the country, the continent and the world as a whole. This initiative of the Kalyan Media Cell is to promote the goodwill behind the genesis of Catholic Focus. Through the website, KMC intends to propagate the Holy Father’s virtue of ‘Truthful Journalism’ in the age of Pseudo news reporting.
Whilst the news website offers news coverage reports in English and Malayalam currently, it was various additional benefits. As part of the media missionary motto, the Catholic Focus constitutes a group of wise professional experts from various fields and fortes. This group is titled ‘Catholic Mentors’. For the same, volunteers have been visiting different parishes of the many foranes in the Diocese. Infant Jesus Church, Koparkhairane, St. Thomas Church, Vashi, St. Joseph’s Church, Rasayani and St. George Catholic Church, Nallasopara had Diocom on 1st September 2019. As a token of retention, prayer cards, and magnets were distributed among the parishioners.
