The Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU) has been conferred ‘University of the Year’ Award by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). The award was given at its 14th Higher Education Summit 2018: A Global Conference and Exhibition held in New Delhi on October 30.
As reported by Shillong Times, Father Nellanatt, Pro Vice Chancellor remarked that “It is indeed a proud moment for our university. Our University was also received a Certificate of Special mention for Institutional Social Commitment. At Don Bosco University, We want to make Social Commitment as our institutional distinctiveness.”
The award recognizes the achievements of educational institutions and personalities that have contributed towards the development of the sector in the country. The award was received by the Pro Vice Chancellor, Father Joseph Nellanatt on behalf of the University from R Subrahmanyam, secretary of the Higher Education department of the federal Ministry of Human Resources Development.
