“EVA- Global Symposium on Life” began at Animation Renewal Centre (ARC), Panvel, with grace. The Symposium which was eagerly awaited was welcomed with a spiritual dance by children of Eparchy of Kalyan, with more than 200 delegates present in the auditorium. Prof. Mrs Rosily Thomas, the host of the Symposium of Life, welcomed the dignitaries to the stage, including His Excellency Mar Sebastian Vaniyapurackal, His Grace Bishop Thomas Dabre of Poona, His Excellency Bishop Mar Thomas Elavanal, Rev. Msgr. Emmanuel Kadankavil, Rev. Msgr. Varghese Mattamana, Rev. Fr. Dr. Antony Joby Moolayil, Rev. Fr. Shenan Boquet, Rev. Fr. Joju Arackal.
Rev. Msgr. Emmanuel Kadankavil offered his presidential address in which he welcomed, thanked and appreciated each and every dignitary present on the stage and in the auditorium, including the Bishops, religious, seminarians and lay men and women, volunteers of the Pro-Life movement. Rev. Msgr. Emmanuel Kadankavil reminded the people gathered, “To defend life for life sake”. Each dignitary on the stage was handed over a plant by the volunteer, either the dignitaries can carry the plant or donate to ARC. After which, the assembled crowd were asked to stand up spiritually for the lighting of the lamp, in which the dignitaries on the stage and also the representatives of each significant departments of the Eparchy of Kalyan lighted the lamp and officially launched “EVA- Global Symposium on Life”.
“EVA- Global Symposium on Life”, organized by the Eparchy of Kalyan under the guidance of Fr. Paul Kunduparambil, director of Pro-Life Movement of Kalyan Diocese, aims to promote the culture of life against the increasing culture of death. The Symposium will cover seven main objectives to promote the human dignity and the resource speakers will discuss these objectives in detail.
