“Eva- Global Symposium on Life”, one among the major project that would be covered by Kalyan Media Cell (KMC), the media wing of Kalyan Diocese, is expected to begin from November 30th to December 2nd, 2017, at Animation and Renewal Centre, Panvel, Mumbai. One among the topics of the recently concluded 4th Syro- Malabar Major Archiepiscopal Assembly was “Witness in the Family” and the final statement of the assembly invited each eparchy to invent more concrete ways to promote and protect marriage. The assembly has also requested the conduct of many awareness programmes in order to prevent the practice of abortion. Based on this recommendation of the assembly, Eparchy of Kalyan has come forward with this divine initiative to promote the culture and importance of human life.
Around 10 significant tentative papers have been prepared by research scholars, to be presented in this much-awaited event, in which more than 200 faithful are expected to participate. The main target audience of “Eva-Global Symposium on Life” includes all the leaders of the Syro-Malabar Eparchies, in particular, those who are fascinated, responsible and concerned to proclaim the Gospel of Life.
Kalyan Eparchy Pro-Life Movement, the movement which is steadily engaged in building the culture of life with its mission “Proclaim, Celebrate and Serve the Gospel of Life” had conducted “Forty Hours for Life with the Lord of Life”, to promote the culture of life through the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, from 21st September- 23rd September, 2017, keeping “Eva-Global Symposium on Life” as the main prayer intention.
