His Grace Mar Joseph Powahil, Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Changanacherry, reminded that each and every citizen should understand the significance and value of ‘work’. His Excellency Mar Powathil was addressing the faithful gathered for the ‘May Day Rally’ organized by the Kerala Labor Movement of the Archdiocese. More than 1000 people in uniform participated in the rally by holding decorative umbrellas, slogans on hard work.
As reported by deepika.com, Mar Powathil remarked that “The development of the world lies in the hard work of each and every person. The world will never develop if the people are not hard working. Workers should pull themselves away from getting addicted to alcohols. The culture of alcohol should be destroyed.”
His Grace Mar Thomas Tharayil, Auxiliary Bishop of Changanssery presided over the function.
