His Eminence Cardinal Mar George Alencherry while addressing the gathering in a function as a part of the 100th-anniversary celebration of Catholic Congress conveyed the significance of secularism in India. Mar George Alencherry highlighted that it is every citizen’s responsibility to protect secularism in the country.

These are done by the Church in the memory of what Jesus taught us. Education is a service of love. The church should be led ahead under the guidance of Catholic Congress and the faithful should stand united for this.”
