Before his meeting with Pope Francis on Friday, June 10, Dr. Vincenzo Bassi, the President of the Federation of Catholic Family Associations in Europe highlighted the importance of families and their role as resources. This meeting with the Pope will be followed by the World Meeting of Families from June 22- 26.
Dr. Bassi called on help globally to undertake responsibility for helping the family. “I think every part of the civil society, the public institutions, has to realize the importance of this issue to us as a family association,” remarked the President.
The Federation of Catholic Family Associations in Europe (FAFCE) consists of European family associations from 18 countries globally. The World Meeting of Families was created by Pope John Paul II in 1994, and this year Rome will host the 10th World Meeting of Families
