Ramapuram, Pala: The feast of Bl Kunjachan Thevaraparambil had begun on 6th October 2019 and is proceeding with much devotion and veneration. Each day, various departments of the Diocese of Pala are undertaking activities to retain the magnificence of the festal activities.
On 13th October, following the celebrations of three Holy Qurbanas, the Cherupushpam Mission League (CML) unit of Ramapuram Zone conducted a pilgrimage. On the said date, solemnized Holy Qurbana was celebrated by Rev. Dr. George Njarakunnel, Chaplain – Marian Medical Center, Arunapuram; the priests of the Ramapuram Forane and Rt. Rev. Dr. Paul Antony Mullasseri, Bishop – Diocese of Kollam respectively.
On 14th, the festal activities began post the celebration of solemnized Holy Qurbana at 9 am by very Rev. Fr. Jose Vallompurayidam, Rector of St. Alphonsa Pilgrim Centre, Bharananganam. Flowing the Holy mass, ‘National Day of Farmers’ was celebrated. The celebration included special prayers for farmers, gathering of farmers and intercessory prayers to Bl Kunjachan Thevaraparambil for the farms and offertory. The celebration was organized by AKCC Karshaka Dalam, Infam, Pithruvedi and DCMS. The evening mass was celebrated by Msgr. Joseph Kunzhinjalil, Vicar General, Diocese of Pala.
Today, the morning mass was celebrated by the priests belonging to St. Augustine Forane Church, Ramapuram and those belonging to the Kuzhumbil Family. At 4:00 p.m. Holy mass will be celebrated by Mar Jacob Muricken, Auxiliary Bishop, Diocese of Pala. Following the holy mass, a procession of the Rosary will begin from St. Thomas Cathedral Church, Pala.
