Ramapuram, Kottayam: The feast of Bl. Kunjachan Thevaraparambil has begun with much fervor and festivities. Solemnised Holy Qurbana is celebrated on all days twice; one in the morning and one in the evening. On 9th October, the Holy Mass in the morning was celebrated by Msgr. Joseph Maleparambil, Vicar General- Diocese of Pala, while the evening Holy Qurbana was vo celebrated by the newly ordained priests of the Diocese of Pala.

On Thursday, 10th October 2019, the morning and evening Holy Qurbana was celebrated by Rev. Dr. Kurian Mathotthu, Curator, Christian Cultural Centre, Pala, and Rev. Fr. Cyril Thayyil, Director, Syro Malabar Youth Movement (SMYM) AND Syriac Studies respectively. The evening mass was in the Syrian rite. 

On 11th October, 2019, the Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Joseph Vayalil, Vicar, St. Mary’s Church Kulamavu. The morning mass was followed by a gathering of the Charismatic Laity group of the Ramapuram Sub Zone. This was, then preceded by another Holy Mass offered in Malankara rite by His Excellency Bishop Thomas Mar Kurilos, Bishop of the Diocese of Thiruvalla.

Today, the morning mass was celebrated by Vicar General of the Diocese of Pala, Msgr. Abraham Kollithanathumalayil. The flag hoisting of the feast would take place at 4 pm, after the culmination of a pilgrimage journey of the DCMS units of Diocese of Ramapuram and the Diocese of Kothamangalam. Flag hoisting would be done by Most Rev. Dr. George Varghese Njarakunnel, Vicar, St. Augustine’s Forane Church, Ramapuram followed by Holy Mass by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kanimattom, Director, DCSM unit, Kothamangalam.
