Kochi: The protests against the poster of a new film which shows anti-Christianity have crossed the line of freedom of expression. Vipin Attlee has shared the poster for the film titled ‘The Miracle of Antappan’ with a very poor presentation of ‘The Last Supper of Christ’. Protests are widespread in the media. In a statement, the Christian Association for Christian Action and Alliance for Social Action (CASA) said it condemned the distorted notion that freedom of expression should be used in the name of freedom. The Last Supper is an important part of Christian worship because of its association with the Holy Spirit. All four evangelists have recorded this very clearly in the Bible. It is unfortunate that this despicable act is incompatible with the values of art and morality. By placing abusers and alcoholics in the place of Christ and his disciples at the Passover feast, the Christian community has been utterly abused. The poster, which depicts Christ’s Last Supper as distorted, should be withdrawn and legal action would be taken against it, Casa said.
