His Excellency Bishop Emeritus of Simdega diocese Joseph Minj (85), Jharkhand, passed away on 16 August 2018 at 7.30am at Shanti Bhawan Medical Centre Biru, Simdega. He was 85. The funeral was on 17 August 2018 at 11 am at St. Anne Cathedral, Samtoli, Simdega.
His Grace Bishop Minj was born on 17 October 1932 and was ordained priest on 10 July 1960. He was appointed as the Bishop of Simdega on 28 May 1993 and ordained Bishop on 24 August 1993.
