Pope Francis has appointed Fr. Kannikadass William Antony as the Bishop of Mysore. Msgr. Antony was born on 27th February, 1965 in Pollibetta, almost 90 kms from Mysore.
Msgr. Antony secures Bachelor’s degree in Education, Masters in Canon Law and Masters in Christianity. He was ordained as priest for the diocese of Mysore on 18th May, 1993 and served as the Assistant parish priest, parish Priest, Financial Administrator and Chancellor. Currently he was servering as the parish priest of St. Joseph’s Church in Jayalakshmipuram, and Secretary of the Mysore Diocesan Educational Society (MDES), as well as the Diocesan Public Relation Officer (PRO) and the Defender of Bond at the Diocesan Tribunal, in the Diocese of Mysore.
