Kochi: Rev. Fr. Dr. Thomas was elected to Chathamparambil. The election was held at the 38th general meeting of the CMI meeting held at the Thrissur Jerusalem Meditation Center. After six years of service, Rev. Fr. Dr. The election was held following the retirement of Paul Achanty as CMI Prior General. He is also the only clergyman to be awarded honorary colonel status by the Ministry of Defense for his service to the country through his value-added education.
The Rev Vice-Chancellor was the first of the Bengaluru Christian University. Dr. Thomas Chathamparambil was the principal of the college for many years. Established in 1969 for the education of seminarians, Christ College is one of the leading universities in India. During his tenure as Principal, Christ College was upgraded to an autonomous position and later a university. He is a member of the Archdiocese of Changanassery and a member of St. Joseph’s Provinces. Born on December 5, 1953, in Alappuzha, he was born on May 11, 1983. Founded by Saint Chavara Kuriakose Achan, the CMI church today has over 2000 congregations in 15 provinces. Today, the CMI Church is active in various congregations in 32 countries.
