Jerusalem: Christians from Gaza have once again been denied permission to travel to the Holy Land of Israel in connection with Christmas. The same complaint was filed last year. Hundreds of believers regularly apply for Christmas visits in Bethlehem, Nazareth, and Jerusalem. But authorities refused to grant permission, citing security concerns.

Wadi Abu Nasser, an adviser to local church leaders, said people from all over the world are allowed to travel to Bethlehem, except for Gaza, and Christians in Gaza should have that right. By Christmas 2016, the State had authorized more than six hundred requests from Gaza. However, there is a growing public outcry that the authorities have rejected the application for various reasons.
