The Archdiocese of Cologne in Germany expressed their solidarity with the people in Kerala by planning to donate 1,50,000 Euros for the victims of the unprecedented floods caused by torrential rains in the southern state of Kerala. His Excellency Archbishop Rainer Maria Woelki of Colgne Archdiocese had visited Kerala after the flood and thus moved by the crucial situation of the state, they have decided to help Kerala in all the possible ways.

Many Churches in Germany have started raising funds and collecting money through various initiatives for the flood affected Kerala. Caritas India is also acting as a significant pillar in helping the state.
