His Excellency Bishop Mar James Athikalam, the newly appointed Bishop for the Eparchy of Sagar, conveyed that God will provide responsibilities along with grace to do the ministry that He has given. His Grace Bishop asked everyone to pray for his pastoral ministries that have been entrusted to him by the Lord Almighty and expressed his gratitude towards everyone.
As reported by syromalabarchurch.in, His Excellency Bishop Mar James Athikalam remarked that “I am an ordinary person. Before a month, I got to know about my role and responsibilities of Major Archbishop. Diocese of Sagar had been under the guidance of Mar Nilankavil and Mar Chirayath and so please for me so that I can fulfill the hopes and trust kept on me.” Further, His Excellency Bishop Athikalam added, “We need to pray for the Church to overcome the challenges faced by the north Indian missionaries.”
