His Excellency Soosa Pakiam, Archbishop of the Latin Rite Archdiocese of Trivandrum while addressing the gathering at the installation/ordination ceremony of Msgr. Dr. Paul Antony Mullassery as the new Bishop of the Quilon diocese, conveyed the significance of a good shepherd. His Grace Soosa Pakiam reminded that “a good shepherd should be a good guide to the faithful.” His Grace Soosa Pakiam who is also the president of KCBC (Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Council) offered his wishes and prayers to the newly ordained bishop of Quilon.
As reported by pravachakasabdam.com, His Grace Soosa Pakiam remarked that “May Dr. Paul Antony Mullassery fulfill all his missions being the servant of God, with the blessings of the Lord Almighty.” His Excellency Mar Andrews Thazhath, Archbishop of Archdiocese of Thrissur, exhorted that “Dr. Paul Antony will be able to guide the diocese of Quilon with perfections.”
The new Bishop will be given a public welcome at Bharata Rajni auditorium on June 9, to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan by 3 pm. The provision of Msgr. Paul Antony Mullasseril’ appointment was made public in Rome on Wednesday, April, 18,2018, at noon local time, corresponding to 15:30 hours, Indian Standard Time.
