‘The Grand Abide 3’ Youth Retreat has begun at Chittoor Retreat Centre, Ernakulam, with an intention and theme to meditate on the upcoming Synod of young people that will be conducted in Rome in October. The retreat also reflects upon the ‘KCBC declaration of the year of youth.’ His Grace Bishop Dr. Joseph Kariyil of Cochin Diocese inaugurated the retreat.
His Eminence Cardinal Baselios Cleemis, the Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, delivered the keynote message. His Excellency Bishop Rafael Thattil of Shamshabad Diocese, Mar Sebastian Adayanthrath, Mar Jose Puthenveettil- the Auxiliary Bishops of Ernakulam- Angamaly Archdiocese, will lead the retreat on these days respectively. The Retreat will conclude on 24th September, 2018.
